Jhalu Day Spa & Fitness is a privately owned business which operates from a commercial space within the Mantra Ettalong Beach Resort. The name of the company 'trading as' Jhalu Bliss Day Spa & Fitness is Holistic Escapes Pty Ltd.

The owners are David and Jo-Ann Prior, both of whom actively work in the business. Jhalu employs 8 Spa Therapists, 3 Fitness Instructors and a Gym Manager in addition to the owners. Everyone who works in or represents Jhalu is fully qualified in their chosen field and holds current professional insurances.

Jhalu or The Rainbow Body

Pronounced 'Jaa-Loo'

A teacher or yogi who has acquired the highest forms of accomplishment can manifest what is called "the rainbow body" or "body of light." Having mastered the final phase in which pure and total presence is stabilised, the yogi is able to dissolve his or her physical body into the essence of the elements. The yogi then disappears into a "body of light" leaving behind only the hair, toe and finger nails, and the nasal septum. Usually this happens after death, but it has been known to happen at other times.
